Driffield's Local Multi-Fuel Stove
Installation Experts
Multi-Fuel stoves give you the best of both worlds, allowing you to choose whether you burn coal, wood, straw, peat or compressed paper. Traditionally, stoves were tailored to burn either coal or wood. The size of a coal stove meant it was too compact to efficiently burn wood; wood stoves were also considered too big for coal.
It is also important to note that you cannot use a dedicated stove for both. Wood burners do not feature a grate as wood tends to burn better when on a bed of its own ash, whilst solid fuel is reliant on a grate to allow air to flow from beneath when burning.
